It’s that time of year when chocolates and treats are everywhere we look, treat you and your loved ones with this delicious healthy treat!
Avocado Chocolate Truffles
Ingredients:
6 oz. dark cacao chocolate
1 small avocado mashed
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch of cinnamon
2 tablespoons cocoa powder, for rolling
1/4 cup of unsweetened coconut flakes
Directions:
Combine the chocolate, vanilla extract and cinnamon over low heat in a small saucepan, and melt until completely smooth. Mash the avocado with a fork until completely smooth, then stir it into the melted chocolate mixture and thicken. Place in the fridge to set for 30 minutes.
Once the dough has is set and firm, use a tablespoon to scoop the chocolate into 2 inch balls. Place them on a lined pan.
Place the 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder in small bowl, and 1/4 cup of coconut into another small bowl Roll each ball into the cocoa till completely covered and then roll it in the coconut.
You can serve this at room temperature or cold.
