These are the perfect treat for the BBQ Season … They are easy, filling, and delicious all in one!
Ingredients
6-8 Slices of bacon (optional) (depending on your LOVE for bacon)
2 lbs. ground bison (or ground grass-fed beef)
1 Cup avocado (diced)
1/2 teaspoon of cumin
1/4 cup of diced red onion
1 Jalapeno (finely diced)
2 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon of creole seasoning
Directions:
Cook the bacon on a skillet on medium high. cook the bacon till cooked through but not crispy.
While the bacon cooks, chop the jalapeño, garlic and avocado. For a spicy burger, don’t remove the jalapeño seeds.
Remove the bacon from the skillet and slice into ½ inch pieces.
In a mixing bowl, add the ground bison, cumin, garlic, jalapeño, bacon and onion, and mix well with your hands. Mix the avocado into the burger.
Form into burger patties and cook on a grill, over the stove on a grill pan or in the oven at 400 degrees.
For the burger feel, Serve with romaine lettuce wraps, tomato, and dijon mustard.
