Valentine’s Day is taking place this Saturday. In my opinion it is one of the most over hyped holiday’s out there. There is so much pressure to eat at the right restaurant, get the perfect gift etc…
So I thought I would encourage my readers to just relax and have a good time doing something you both enjoy. Do activities that will really enhance and add to your relationship, not make you feel stressed and overwhelmed.
Have fun this Valentine’s Day and actually enjoy your time with your loved one!
#1 Date Outside the Box – We all get in a habit of repeating the same routine day in and day out especially when have been involved with that special someone for quit sometime. So this year create a list of places you have been wanting to go but have not gone for whatever reason and have your spouse do the same. Then pick a place out of a hat and go there. Keep the list close and then each month you can pick out a new place to attend that will help to the “routine” out of your relationship and give you a good excuse to try something different.
#2 Creativity is Key: One of the most special gifts that my husband can give me is the gift of doing something for me that I wouldn’t normally do for myself. Like treating me to a massage, or buying me a workout outfit I have been eyeing. Being creative shows that you took time to really think about your significant other. Even if you make coupons, or dinner, or set up a picnic overlooking the sunset. When you put time and effort into gifts it makes your loved one feel appreciated and thankful.
#3 Be Spontaneous – Everyone loves to get “whisked” away from their normal routine and lives. Hence why fairy tales are so popular … plan an impromptu trip, or outing whether it be overnight or just for the day. Pack your loved ones bags and experience all the wonderful fun things life has to offer and you and your loved one will create a valentine’s day to be remembered!
#4 Go Back In Time: Recreate a special moment or event that you and your spouse shared. Maybe you revisit your first date, or engagement spot. It will be great to reminisce and also spark those first date jitters all over again!
Now you have some fun ideas to give you and your loved one a Valentine’s Day that will go down as one of the best!
