Did you know that 8% of People Actually Complete their New Years Resolution so Here are some great tips to start this 2015 off right and end right too!
Make your new years resolution about adding not taking away …
Do something philanthropic each day
Add more water, veggies, sleep etc….
Do something you are afraid of each day (this can be big or small)
Run a mile, do a pull-up, workout for a cause etc …
Make your goals so simple
Your goals should be so simp a 6 year old child could understand … the more clarity and decisiveness you have with your goals the easier it will be to stay on track with them and not let distractions get in the way. Nix the long laundry list so you are able to have quality over quantity and not feel overwhelmed with goals needed to be attained.
Paint a Picture Literally:
Our brain thinks in pictures not words so when you literally draw what it is you want your brain understands the language and can get you there much more efficiently. You then keep this in your vision daily and your sub conscious automatically knows where its going.
Think of your goals as life or death.
I heard a good metaphor for this if your child was in a car that was on fire you would do whatever it took immediately to get your child out. So why can’t we create that urgency with our goals? Even though you and your child’s life are not at immediate risk your success and happiness might be.
Want it more than you don’t.
Your will has to be greater than your want. We have all heard the term “When there’s a will there’s a way” . This is true. When something means a lot to us it is not going to be easy to attain and there is always a price to pay but when we have “the will” the price is to pay gives us clarity and makes it worth it! . Success happens when your desire to do becomes greater than your desire to don’t!
