I am a snacker. I would much rather eat small bites than sit for big meals. A lot of snacks that are offered though are not beneficial for my overall health and wellness. Here are some great snack choices that you can delight in indulging in!
They are great for the summer road trips, kids sporting tournaments, etc…
#1 Hard boiled eggs – Eggs are a quick and easy source of protein and they are very easy to prepare. You can also make a lot and once and then eat them when you are in a pinch. Eggs contain many wonderful health benefits, so don’t forget to pack yours the next time you need a go to snack.
#2 Kale Chips– I am sure you have seen these green delights packaged and called chips in your local store. What is so great about kale, and how can they be made in to chips? These are the perfect snack to back for road trips, field trips, lunches, or just a salty go to snack fix.
#3 Sliced Apples and Justin’s Individual Packed Almond Butter – Apples are easy to keep around in your purse, in the car and even easier are these pre-made individual packets from Justin’s. Now you can literally eat while you drive, or your kids can have a delicious treat in between camps, practice, parties etc…
# 4 Homemade Trail Mix – I personally love having trail mix in my car, the office, my purse (individual packs). I can grab a handful and be really satisfied and I don’t have to worry about refrigerating or storing them properly.
# 5 Protein Balls – These are delicious really easy and the perfect summer treat for that sweet tooth craving. They also keep you satisfied and smiling for hours. The recipe for Protein Balls is really easy and can be found right on my site.
Now you have the go to snacks and no excuses for grabbing the “wrong choice” this Fall!
