There is so many wonderful things about them. They are crunchy, satisfying, and delicious but most chips have absolutely no nutritional benefits what so ever ….

Here are the top 5 Fit Chic LA recipes
Beet Chips:
Ingredients:
4 medium beets
1 clove of garlic
1 teaspoon of rosemary
2 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
Sea Salt
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees, with racks in upper and lower thirds. Peel beets and slice 1/16 inch thick. In a large ziploc bag, toss beets with extra-virgin olive oil, garlic, and rosemary.
Place on baking sheet arrange beets in a single layer. Sprinkle with a small amount of sea salt.
Bake until edges of beets begin to dry out, about 20 minutes. Uncover and rotate sheets. Bake 10 to 20 minutes, removing chips as they become lightened and pale in color. Let cool and serve.
Cajun Sweet Potato:
Ingredients
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cut the potatoes in 1/4-inch-thick slices. In a large bowl or ziploc bag, add the oil (melted) and seasonings. Add the sliced potatoes and toss to coat. Place in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets. Bake until lightly browned and crisp, about 15-20 minutes.
Maple Bacon Chips:
Ingredients
1 lb. good quality bacon, sliced
2 tbsp. pure maple syrup (use Grade B)
¼ c. palm sugar
2 tsp. Dijon mustard
½ tsp. Kosher salt
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350 F.
Place aluminum foil on a large baking sheet
In a large bowl, add the maple syrup, palm sugar, Dijon mustard, Kosher salt, and cayenne pepper and toss.
Add the bacon to the bowl and toss gently with your hands. Make sure that all of the slices are evenly coated
Place the bacon in a single layer onto the baking sheet.
Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes. Check the bacon and rotate if it is too brown on one side. Then bake for another 5 – 10 minutes. It should look slightly dark and crispy. Don’t take it out too soon or it will be chewy not crispy.
Let cool and then serve at room temperature.
*For added deliciousness dip in melted dark chocolate cacao.
Kale Chips:
Ingredients:
2 large bunches organic kale
1 clove peeled garlic
4 tablespoons fresh squeezed lime juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon cumin
½ teaspoon turmeric
½ teaspoon onion powder
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300 degrees
Wash kale leaves and dry very well.
trim out the ribs and discard. Cut the remaining kale into approximately one – two inch pieces.
Place kale in a large bowl and toss gently dousing kale with olive oil and lime juice.
In a small bowl mix turmeric, onion powder, cumin, and garlic; stir.
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Lay kale in a single layer on the baking sheet and sprinkle with salt and spice mix.
Bake for 8 – 12 minutes, just until crisp. Start checking at 8 minutes and watch closely.
Remove from oven and let cool for a minute or two, then serve.
Apple Chips:
Ingredients
- 1-2 apples (I like gala)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Directions:
Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
Using a knife slice apples thinly (about 1 inch in diameter). Discard seeds and core. Prepare a baking sheet with wax paper and arrange apple slices on it evenly. Sprinkle cinnamon over apples.
Bake for approximately 1 hour, then flip. Continue baking for 30 minutes to 90 depending on your oven; flipping occasionally, until the apple slices are no longer moist.
